How do I claim CME or a Certificate of Participation?
After the meeting encore on September 26,2020, all registrants will receive an email with directions on how to claim their certificates for MSVirtual2020. To receive CME/CE credit for this meeting, you must attend the learning sessions, complete the online evaluation, and certify the number of credits you are eligible to receive. Upon completion, you will electronically receive your CME/CE certificate. The deadline to claim CME Credit or a Certificate of Participation is Saturday, February 28, 2021.
How will I access the virtual meeting?
Instructions on accessing the virtual platform will be sent to all meeting registrants prior to September 11, 2020. To ensure you do not have any troubles connecting, we encourage all users to conduct a system check. See more tech tips here.

All times are listed in Eastern Time (ET) USA.
I cannot attend a scheduled session at the time it is being broadcasted, will it be available to view on demand?
Live broadcasted sessions (those scheduled in the program) will be recorded and available to view on demand within 24 hours through February 28, 2021.
Will the virtual meeting take place over the original dates?
MSVirtual2020 will be held September 11-13, 2020, with a special encore session on September 26, 2020. Registered participants will have exclusive access to all MSVirtual2020 programming through February 28, 2021.
What will be the new format of the Joint ACTRIMS-ECTRIMS Meeting?
MSVirtual2020 will provide an engaging lineup of scheduled and on-demand scientific content, along with a virtual exhibition and networking opportunities – see the Program at a Glance for the full schedule. More details provided below:
Scientific Program: The meeting will begin Friday, September 11 with an Opening Address and Plenary Session and end Sunday, September 13 with a Plenary Session and Closing Address. Over three days, we will host scheduled educational sessions, including track-specific Parallel Sessions; Hot Topics; Free Communications; Young Investigators; and Nurse’s Sessions.
Encore Sessions: On Saturday, September 26, we will host Late-Breaking News and a special session featuring presentations on COVID-19.
On-Demand Sessions: Teaching Courses, Meet the Experts and Burning Debates will be made available on demand at 8:00 ET on Friday, September 11.
E-Posters: Poster Presentations will be made available at 8:00 am ET on Friday, September 11. Late-Breaking Poster Presentations will be made available at 8:00 am ET on Friday, September 25.
When will abstracts be published?
Full text of Regular Abstracts will be published on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Full text of Late Breaking Abstracts will be published on Friday, September 25, 2020. Abstracts will be available to view in the Online Program.
Will transcripts of sessions be available to attendees?
Yes, text transcripts will be available by request. Please send your transcript request to [email protected].
How do I register for the virtual meeting?
Registration for MSVirtual2020 will open on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

Will the registration fees change now that the meeting is virtual?

I already registered for MSWashingtonDC2020; what do I need to do?
If you plan to participate in the virtual meeting, no action is required, and your registration will be automatically transferred to MSVirtual2020. Any excess paid registration fee will be refunded back to your original method of payment.
I already registered for MSWashingtonDC2020 and do NOT want to participate in the virtual meeting. Do I get a full refund?
Registration cancellations received in writing to [email protected] on or before Monday, August 31, 2020, will be accepted and fees refunded with no penalty. Cancellations received after Monday, August 31, 2020, will not be refunded
I already booked my travel; do I get a reimbursement for these costs?
Delegates are responsible for cancelling their airline tickets. Each airline has its own policies regarding refunds and vouchers for future travel. We advise you to contact your airline or travel agency for further details.
I already booked my hotel accommodation; do I get a refund of the deposit paid?
All individual hotel reservations booked through MSWashingtonDC2020’s official housing bureau will be cancelled automatically. A deposit was not paid at the time of reservation.
Delegates who booked housing through other sources or directly with hotels are responsible for cancelling their own reservations.
I am a group organizer and have booked multiple hotel rooms; do I get a refund?
Group organizers will be contacted directly by the housing bureau in the coming weeks.

Yes, we are actively planning a virtual program and will communicate details in the coming weeks.
I already submitted an abstract; what happens now?
Review and final selection of abstracts by the Congress Planning Committee will take place in July. You will be notified in early August if your abstract is accepted for presentation at MSVirtual2020.
